Customer Support Manager

Managing and working within the Customer Support Team, the Customer Support Manager serves a critical role in assisting our customers and helping to educate them about trip protection plans, coverage, and claims advocacy, as well as advising and providing support for the Customer Support Representatives. As a leader and liaison, the agent is expected to be professional, knowledgeable, honest, friendly, and accurate, with the goal of providing the best service possible to our customers and guidance to the team.


Primary Duties:

  • Advise, support, and enrich the Customer Support Representatives.
  • Develop enhancements to the support system and procedures.
  • Back up Customer Support Representatives to provide support to customers via chat, email, and phone - including plan navigation, processing changes and updates to existing policies.
  • Communicate with Claims representatives to clarify and escalate customer claims.
  • Maintain updated knowledge on the industry, products, services and procedures.
  • Consistently communicate with the team and management - providing feedback and input for improvement and creation of a positive work culture and customer experience.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of social/environmental goals and related company actions.
  • Uphold the company’s social and environmental commitments and represent these commitments when corresponding with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in company-wide initiatives to advance social and environmental performance, such as: sustainability training, DEI training, volunteering, and participation in internal committees.
  • Proactively work to develop new skills and evolve with Wanderwell!



  • Possess a current Property & Casualty Producer license in your resident state. Life and Health license and travel addendum is a strong plus.
  • Experience in team management, customer service, a desire to help people.
  • Superior communication, writing, and conversational skills and the ability to connect with a diverse base of traveling customers.
  • Possess strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer and keyboarding skills. Familiarity with Google Workspace, Zendesk.
  • Ability to effectively assist customers via communication methods - phone, email, and live chat.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and to work flexible hours.

  • Base salary = $65-$75k per year - based on experience level and licenses held.
